Before we knew it, spring is already drawing to a close. We hope this season of new beginnings has been a great start for all of you. Our last product update was at the end of February, and over the past few months, we’ve quietly been heads-down, giving Tasmap a thorough overhaul from the inside out. Let’s take a look at what we’ve been working on!
A Clear Tasmap
First, we’ve given the website a complete update. As mentioned in our last letter, Tasmap has turned one year old, but the website was still stuck with the design and introduction from a year ago. So, over the past few months, we’ve fully revamped the site to help everyone better understand what Tasmap can do and how it can be used. Going forward, we’ll be gradually expanding the content, including tips and tutorials for creating maps, as well as showcasing how Tasmap can be applied in various scenarios.
A Clean Studio
We’ve reorganized the dashboard interface and removed unnecessary visual clutter. Now, when you log in, the screen feels calmer. You can find the features you want more intuitively, and the loading performance is better, too.
Editor Improvements
While updating the website, we’ve also continued to tackle those little issues that interrupt your creative flow:
- Marker collision: When two markers overlap, they now automatically collapse, making the map look cleaner.
- Fixed: Ctrl+V paste now works correctly in the link popup window.
- Fixed: Backspace now works correctly in the link popup window.
- Fixed: Color display issues in light mode.
- Fixed: The popup window position no longer shifts when switching between H1/H2/H3.
- Fixed: An issue where card content was occasionally replaced incorrectly.
- Fixed: An issue where, after clicking text, the flyTo visual center wasn’t being adjusted based on article size and the visible map area.
- Fixed: An issue where the article editor would sometimes jump back to the top when switching block popup windows.
What’s Next
This overhaul has been a comprehensive review and reorganization, and it lays a more solid foundation for the future of Tasmap. Our focus going forward is clear: tutorial and application content, data import, and continuous user experience improvements. “Making it easier for you to create a beautiful map” is our single goal right now.
